Via Bice Hosts Pet-friendly “Sip & Shop” honoring Young Friends of Peggy Adams

More than 120 two-legged guests, many accompanied by their beloved furry friends, attended a “Sip & Shop” in Via Bice that benefited Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League on June 24, 2021.

Guests enjoyed music by DJ Jean Marc, complimentary cocktails, special trunk shows, raffles and gift with purchases during the lively “yappy hour” that lingered well past 6:00 pm.  Participating purveyors included Sergio Andres Mendoza with his Bonbon Ring collection, which drew a constant crowd to the Coastal Girls boutique.  Toquifina’s handmade Montecristi Panama hats were displayed and available for purchase in front of Eye of the Needle.  Bice Ristorante offered Happy Hour drinks and bites in the courtyard;  Gil Walsh Interiors, M.A.A.C London, Frances Valentine and Taglialatella Galleries offered complimentary refreshments.

Pet owners were given swag bags with contents courtesy of Woofgang Bakery and Le Bilboquet Palm Beach offered Bonne et Filou French doggie-macarons.

“We really enjoyed bringing our two dogs – they loved looking out from their wagon at all the pets and people who came to support Peggy Adams,” said Lavinia Baker.

Representing the Young Friends of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League were Leslie Francisco, Associate Major Gifts Officer, and Stacey Leuliette, the 2021-22 Young Friends Chairman.  All participating merchants donated a portion of proceeds from sales to Peggy Adams.

“We’re so fortunate to have the support of our friends at Via Bice; events such as ‘Pets on the Via’ support Peggy Adams’ lifesaving mission, enabling the League to impact thousands of animals each year,” says Leuliette.

Host committee members also in attendance included Lavinia Baker, Harrison Morgan, Diane de la Begassiere, Jacqui Michel, and Harrison Morgan, along with guests Lucy Musso, Mashi Azmudeh, Mickey Weissman, Sybil de Bourbon- Parme, Maureen O’Sullivan, Pam Williams, Sarah Yansura Cooke and Cora Cook, and many more.
