Over 50 beach lovers, Island residents and supporters of Friends of Palm Beach attended the summer fundraiser held at Meat Market Wednesday July 24.  The Happy Hour raised over $1,000. Vitrines showcasing everything from vials of blood, medical waste, plastics and effects on marine life were on display for guests to understand the full impact of the damage that could be prevented.  Buhler’s ‘plastic surgery’ display demonstrated alternative options for customary plastics including cardboard beverage containers, reusable bags and metal straws.

“I am very grateful for the continued support as the trash is never ending and our efforts are as well.  These events give us the opportunity to remind people to think out of the box for eco-friendly alternatives,” says Diane Buhler
