Annie Watt: “Impromptu Portraits – One Night Only”
On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, for the second year, Palm Beach owners Sarah and Andrew Wetenhall and the Colony Hotel co-sponsored Society Photographer Annie Watt’s “Impromptu Portraits – One Night Only” fundraising event. Honoring the importance of a good education, donations were collected to benefit this year’s recipients, The Viner Scholars and postgraduate student Zig Hinds.
With the assistance of her fabulous co-hosts Switfy’s Robert Caravaggi, Philanthropic Eleanora Kennedy, Christine Schott and George Ledes, and The Viner Family, Annie welcomed over 200 guests. This year, the amazing work done by Annie and her very talented photographers captured in over 600 photos displayed on the walls and tabletops in the hotel’s beautiful solarium was the focus of the well-attended party. At the same time, the guests sipped Champagne and nibbled on the delicious hors d’oeuvres.
“Throughout the season, I photograph people attending fundraisers and charity events. I wanted those guests to see how important it is for them to give back to the community. Holding this Spring exhibition was an easy concept …everyone who was invited to the event has a photo “in the exhibition”. I encouraged my guests to “Take Your Photo” and make a generous donation, reminding them that 100 percent of their donations will be going to the charity.”
Perched by the door was Annie’s sister Sandi Victor accepting all payments and who graciously thanked them for their donations and reminded them that well-deserving students would appreciate their generosity. Many of the guests who had attended Annie’s previous Fundraising Exhibition in NYC and Palm Beach had their checkbooks ready.
Based in South Florida, Annie Watt Event Photography Agency continues to provide photography services and Media outreach in the Hamptons and NYC with a presence in L.A., London, and Italy. Her photography appears in Conde Nast and Hearst magazines as well as New York Lifestyles Magazine, New York Social Diary, Avenue, Quest Magazine, Palm Beach Social Diary, Shiny Sheet of the Palm Beach Post, Palm Beach Illustrated, Miami/Palm Beach Today Magazine, Metropolitan Palm Beach Magazine, and many other prestigious publications.
