ALVIN VALLEY TAKES OVER CAVALIER GALLERIES HOSTS PRIVATE DINNER TO BENEFIT EMERGING ARTISTS
Ron Cavalier and Lindsay Ebanks Co-Hosted Dinner honoring Art Patron Libbie Mugrabi, Artist Guy Stanley Philoche and Photographer Nathan Coe at the recently opened Palm Beach Gallery
Fashion designer, Alvin Valley, coined ‘the king of pants’ by New York Times took over Cavalier Gallery to co-host an exclusive dinner in honor of art patron Libbie Mugrabi with special guest, internationally acclaimed artist Guy Stanley Philoche. The dinner, which was co-hosted by Ron Cavalier and Lindsay Ebanks, owners of Cavalier Gallery took place at the gallery’s new location at 235c Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, on Saturday, February 13th.
Guy Stanley Philoche, whose artwork and philanthropic endeavors have been equally gaining the attention of collectors and the media, vowed that for every painting of his own that sells, he will purchase the work of another artist. Throughout the last year Philoche has grown his collection by over 150 works to support artists in need during the pandemic. “Art saved my life,” said Philoche, “so I decided to share my success with other emerging artists and started the Philoche collection.”
Among the esteemed guests attending the dinner was collector Andy Goldfarb who shortly into the event added two works by Philoche to his own collection. Goldfarb also announced he would be making a charitable donation to The Philoche Collection. In turn, Philoche immediately purchased the work of photographer Nathan Coe, also in attendance. Nathan’s iconic Palm Beach nudes have become a fixture in the homes of local and global collectors.
In addition to Libbie Mugrabi, Andy Goldfarb and Nathan Coe, guests who drove from Miami to attend the dinner included Omar Hernandez, Guillermo Giammona, Matthew Kibble, Stacey Engman and Camilla Olsson
