Hamilton Jewelers hosted a private luncheon in honor of Massimo Zerbini, President of Chantecler who flew in from Capri for a private viewing at Café Boulud on Friday, February 24th.

Kristina Olsen, Shawn Thompson

Appropriately coined ‘A Taste of Capri’, the by-invitation luncheon transported 30 special guests to Capri via the red Vespa displayed in the conservatory. The custom ordered Maiolica ceramics direct from Capri and one of Chantecler’s signature inspirations were used as table centers.

Iconic Chantelcer pieces representative of ‘la dolce Vita’ and revered by classics including Jackie Onassis, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo and Rita Hayworth were displayed throughout the luncheon.

“While we are not widely distributed in the U.S., you don’t have to travel to Capri to experience Chantecler.  Hamilton Jewelers, our exclusive Florida representative, has an extensive collection on-site and access to our limited collections.  Plus, the prices available to be offered by Hamilton are extremely advantageous,” says Massimo Zerbini.

It was a wall-to-wall VIP crowd on a recent Tuesday evening at the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County’s reception to celebrate the Spring/Summer issue of its award-winning Art&Culture Magazine.  It was hot outside, but insiders cooled off at Palm Beach’s Meat Market, sipping on the signature aqua-colored drink, “The Shady,” and donning the Council’s signature #ShadesOfCulture aqua sunglasses.

Bold-faced names from The Palm Beaches and leaders from the worlds of hospitality and the arts sampled Meat Market Executive Chef Sean Brasel’s culinary creations while enjoying drinks courtesy of First Republic Bank.  Throughout the evening, a video loop of the Cultural Council’s latest breakthrough advertising and social media campaign showcasing celebrities who wear aqua sunglasses to promote the arts in Palm Beach County.

Patrick McMullan will be back in South Florida on January 10th to continue to cover the hottest events!

It was April 2000, one of Altima’s  events, organized in less than three weeks, to raise money for Stop the Violence, Face the Music.  This star-studded event which raised close to $200,000 was born following the tragedy at Columbine, during dinner with Rod Stewart and Terry Allen Kramer who jumped on the opportunity to support the cause. The rest is history… The video and the photo gallery is bittersweet, as it shows loved ones who are no longer with us including the late Duke of Marlborough John Spencer-Churchill ‘Sunny’,  Bud Paxson, Frank Shields,  Pedro Morrison, Judy Grubman and Donald Trump who is very much with us today…  This the first of several ‘throwback memories’ we will be posting, as it’s a good thing to remember….

Violence is still too prominent…  The timing to remember may be on cue…

How cool is it that alumni fly from all over the globe to bid farewell to a beloved teacher? Professor Malcolm Higgins, renamed ‘Henry’ (though we are not quite sure who by..) decided to retire after 47 years!  This was not taken lightly by his beloved students, many of whose children also had the privilege of his guidance and friendship.  Thank you Henry for bringing us together after forty years!

Thank You Meat Market for not forgetting us locals!  Keep on coming up with cool events.  I love your steaks, but the Happy Hours have changed the Palm Beach Summer Scene!!

Love the Backgammon Tuesdays, the Wall Street Wednesdays, Signature Steak Sundays with half-priced steaks, and of course always look forward for the late night happy hour on Thursday….

Your Summer Series cocktail and wine pairings are the bomb! I missed the Champagne dinner, but the Duckhorn Wine tasting was fabulous.   Looking forward to the Far Niente Winery dinner on Tuesday August 25th!

Black River Caviar was invited to partake in Ceelo Green’s 30th Birthday Bash in Atlanta, and I was lucky enough to be part of the festivities as Brand Ambassador.  Needless to say the Russian oscietra was a big hit at the star-studded event!  Renowned Chef Jaime Doliveira used one of his signature recipes for the presentation—purple roasted potatoes, a dollop of vodka infused creme fraiche, a generous  serving of Russian Oscietra, topped with a garnish of chopped chives.

Met wonderful people, favorite time was spent at Julius Erving’s home where his gorgeous and gracious wife, Dorys welcomed us as if we had been long time friends!

Looking forward to the next time, Atlanta!!

Global and generational representation lives up to the motto “SCHOOL FOR LIFE”

Institut Le Rosey, internationally acclaimed boarding school recently hosted the Third Annual Rosey Alumni reunion at Bice, Palm Beach , Saturday April 25th.  Referred to as the ‘School of Kings and Leaders’ in a recent Town and Country article, the reunion brought together over 3 generations of alumni, living up to its motto ‘A School for Life’.
Alumni co-hosting the event were Palm Beach resident and Florida Representative for Le Rosey Maribel Alvarez and her son Robert Riva along with co-host and fellow alumni Hashem Khosrovani.
“It’s so wonderful to see the multiple generations all part of the Rosey family mingling and sharing memories.  Attendees ranged in ages from 21 years of age to 91, and the beauty of it is that most of us offered our children the same experiences.  We even shared the same teachers!  The camaraderie transcends the ages…. That is the beauty of our alma mater,” says Hashem Khosrovani
In addition to mother and son Maribel and Robert,  also representing two generations of Rosey alumni were Palm Beach residents Aleco Keusseoglou and daughter Daphne and Bill Mann who attended Rosey in the late 1930’s, left due to the war, but offered his son Paul Mann the opportunity to fulfill the experience. Other locals and neighboring alumni residents included Jim and Tori Grey, Margarita Arias Allinson, Allison Reed, Bob Reynolds, Fernando and Karin Marques, Henrik and Louise Vanderlip, Didier and Louise Stickel, Grover Austin, Charles and Christopher Spalding, Charles and Kate Hudson, Jorge Otaola, Peter Bender and friends of Le Rosey Averell Harriman Fisk, Kimberly Swift, Pierre-Olivier Carles, Jim Pappas, Cristina Camerana.
