Adriana Castro Bespoke Services and Trunk Show One Day Only!

One of my favorite stores on the Avenue, Via Coquina, located at 32 Via Mizner, will be hosting Adriana Castro during a trunk show on May 13th from 12- 7pm.   Colombian-born Castro’s passion for uncompromising craftsmanship, culture and altruism is reflected in the Adriana Castro brand and shared by the owners of Via Coquina, who give high importance to tradition, sustainability and authenticity.  A portion of sales from the day’s event will benefit Friends of Palm Beach, whose mission is dedicated to cleaning the beaches in an eco-friendly way–an ethos they share with Via Coquina, who are proud members of 1% For the Planet.

Adriana will also be bringing a selection of accessories and the best part is she will be on hand to meet with guests and offer her bespoke services which include personalizing your favorite handbag.  Castro’s accessories are loved and carried by numerous celebrities and fashion influencers including  Sarah Jessica Parker,  Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria,  Shakira, Heidi Klum, Isabel Preysler and Naty Abascal.

In addition to the large Marcial featured at top of blog, which is perfect for work, I love the Marcial Mini and the La Rossy Mini in leather and crochet for those occasional fancy ladies’ luncheons.  The iconic  Zenu Bag, inspired by the sombrero vueltiao (Colombian Spanish for turned hat) has become a collection piece charged with exceptional craftsmanship and sustainable materials, reaffirming the commitment of the Adriana Castro brand with slow fashion. In the Caribbean region of Colombia the magic hands of the artisans of the Zenú Indigenous community weave stories with caña flecha, a locally grown cane.

For the Home:  Via Coquina welcomes Adriana Castro

Via Coquina has curated an amazing selection of hard-to-find artisan items from Greece, Italy, France, the UK and beyond.  Since many of us are spending much of our time nesting and entertaining at home, they have asked Adriana Castro to bring a selection of home collection pieces that complement Via Coquina’s beautiful selection.    My favorites?  The intricately, hand-woven Zenu placemats by Adriana Castro (featured above), the Themis Z dinnerware collections and the rich comfy Yakdown cashmere throws which is top on my Mother’s Day wish list! (We’ll see if my kids read my newsletter!)

About Via Coquina

Nestled in Worth Avenue’s Via Mizner courtyard, Via Coquina is an emporium of some of the finest artisan treasures collected by owner Cara Polites Ferro on her travels throughout the Mediterranean, with an emphasis on Greece and coastal Italy.  Her parents are from Greece, where she spent her early childhood growing up outside of Athens and traveling to the Greek islands.  Her husband’s grandfather came over from Italy and started a jewelry business in the 1940s.  Her love and appreciation of fine craftsmanship is apparent in everything Via Coquina offers.  Learn More about Via Coquina and its beautiful selection at www.viacoquina.com
