Le rosey

Summer Camp in Switzerland? Oui! From April 18-22, Meet Le Rosey’s Admissions Team and Local Palm Beach Ambassadors

Based in Rolle, Le Rosey is undoubtedly one of the oldest and most prestigious boarding schools, attracting students from over 50 countries. The school follows a holistic approach to education and follows a bilingual curriculum.

But in the summer, the fun reaches new Alpine heights withsix unique campofferings. The most popular – and a favourite of Palm Beach Roseans - is Le Classique, a generalist camp with a twist!  The camp program is tailored for 8-15 year olds and is held at their main campus in Rolle, along Lake Geneva. “Le Classique” combines traditional summer activities like water skiing, tennis, soccer, and creative arts with morning Academies for Languages (English and French for non-native speakers), Multi-sports, Visual Arts, Leadership and Tech (coding and robotics). Other fun electives that are less common during summer camp include digital photography, horseback riding, ceramics, archery and dance.

In August, Summer School aims to make the transition back to school smoother.  Campers will have revision courses for English or French for non-native speakers, or math in the morning – or they can also choose one of the following Academies: Leadership, Tech, and Expressive Arts. Afternoons are on the same basis of a personalized scheduled based on electives of various choices of sports, arts and tech activities on offer, alongside evening entertainment and weekend excursions to perfectly balance work and play.

My Family Camp is like a giant sleepover with all your new best friends, the perfect camp for your first experience away from home. Campers will have the chance to experience life in the Swiss Alps while immersed in the local language and culture. My Family” is offered as a two or three-week program, with the final week reserved for energy-packed activities that will take your breath away! (Their July session is already fully booked.)

For those searching for a more high-octane camp, Le Rosey’s two-week Excellence Campis the Swiss version of Outward Bound.  Campers will spend one week discovering trails in the Bernese and Wallis Alps and another enjoying a Mediterranean cruise aboard Rosey’s 102-foot Sailing Yacht, the Ipharra. This camp is strictly for a small group of 12 – 16 year olds. (The July 2022 session is already fully booked)

The campus of Le Rosey’s sister school in Crans-Montana, Le Régent, hosts the last two camp offerings in Crans-Montana. New Heights is for campers who want to unlock their hidden potential! Tailored for 8-15 year olds, the camp combines four daily periods of academic studies with alpine activities in the sunniest area of the Swiss Alps. Avid golfers will be glad to play three times a week in the same golf course as some of the sports’ biggest players that have participated in the Omega European Masters.

Pre-University  will help campers prepare their applications for the university of their dreams! While mornings and afternoons are dedicated to intensive studies, the evenings and weekends are for enjoying the alpine sun, peaceful atmosphere, and fresh mountain air. This camp is specifically for campers aged 16 – 18 years old preparing for university studies in Europe and the United States. There are three morning tracks to choose from: SAT Preparation, or University Applications, or CFA Future in Finance.

No matter what you choose, Le Rosey campers always return home with unforgettable memories. We wish they offered just ONE more camp option for the young at heart.
