Coastal Girls: Island Hues
Pack It Up: Chic and Colorful Summer Staples
Now that restrictions to some of our favorite destinations are lifted, many of us are ready to freshen up our wardrobe and pack up for an island destination. Whether you’re planning a trip through the Amalfi Coast, the Aegean Sea, or in my case St. Barts, a stop at Worth Avenue’s Coastal Girls, nestled on Worth Avenue’s newly renovated Via Bice is a must!
Dionne, or “Dee” to Palm Beach locals, is celebrated for her fashion flair, radiant smile and warm hospitality. She welcomes shop guests as if she were entertaining at her own home. She invites them to sit and chat over a glass of champagne. When I visit Dee after meetings on the Avenue, I love to lounge on her oversized, green velvet couch immersing myself in the Coastal Girls’ vibe and fantasize traveling to an island retreat with a suitcase packed with her fabulous pieces.
Dee’s discriminate taste in fashion is reflected in her carefully curated resort collection culled from travels to France, Italy, Greece and beyond. My favorites? Dresses from KASIA and NEMA, both Greek brands which use natural materials- cotton, linen, silk combined with embroidery and lace accents. And I must add a Seekelia Sicilian handmade bag to my summer staples!

When asking Dee how to best describe her store, she smiles and says, “We have unique collections that no one else carries on the Island and of course we have our own line as well that reflects the true Palm Beach lifestyle… classy, carefree and chic. Most importantly, we have lots of fun here and are grateful for our customers. Our motto is, Come as a guest, leave as our friend!” Besides the great clothes, being philanthropic is an everyday event at Coastal Girls. They partner with charities on a local and national level to give back to those in need. Because giving is always in fashion.
