For those who are in the know, The Private View Gallery,  located at 212 Brazilian Avenue in Palm Beach, opened in March of 2014. For those who want to learn more about contemporary art and build their art collection, they should make an appointment at The Private View Gallery, founded by Paige Rense Noland, former editor-in-chief of Architectural Digest, where she served from 1970 to 2010.  Private View is curated by Victoria Woodhull Cushing.
The majority of the artwork for sale at the gallery comes directly from artist Kenneth Noland’s (1924-2010) personal collection – works of his own that he held back over the years and works of artists he collected and admired. As a collector, Noland purchased many important works in his lifetime, and it was also common for his peers to trade amongst themselves.
While the gallery operates as an exclusive showroom for Noland’s own paperwork (Noland’s works on canvas are represented by Pace Gallery in New York and London) they also represent several private collections of Noland’s work and collaborate with the estates of other artists.  For example, our current exhibition includes not only works by Noland but also sculpture by Sir Anthony (Tony) Caro and works on paper by Hans Hofmann.

Hamilton Jewelers chose Ivanka Trump’s leading jewelry collection as their Spring 2014 highlight. Launching in 2007 at her boutique on Madison Avenue, the Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry collection focuses on the decades between the 20’s and the 50’s of Art Deco, combining with the structure and elegance of the architecture of New York.

The pieces exhibit the softer, romantic and feminine silhouettes of the early 50’s, harking back to the stars of old Hollywood. The collections appeals to women who have strong sense of themselves, know what they like, value exquisite workmanship and wear even the most important jewelry with a kind of off-handed elegance. By reinventing the best classics of the past cen-tury with a modern twist, Ivanka Trump encourages women every-where to rock tradition.

Worth Avenue’s Holden Luntz Gallery’s latest exhibition, “The Beasts of the Earth and the Spirit of Man,” was conceived by gallery owner Holden Luntz as a way of showcasing photography’s ability to visualize humanity in all forms, as well as the larger world with endless landscapes and creatures.
DAVID-YARROW-Desert-Flight-Amboseli-KenyaTB
“The sense of the show is that we all have some innate, non-visual sense of the world,” Luntz said. “We are kind of citizens of the planet now and I would hope that we, as human beings, have a connection to the earth and interest in preserving it. There are whole parts of the world that remain unknowable and photographers expand the world. If there is this invisible thread that unites us, what is that? Everybody will have a different answer to that question.”
Joyce-Tenneson-LarissaTB
The exhibit showcases the works of photographer David Yarrow, who travels to the ends of the earth in his quest to capture the harsh and endangered beauty of the natural world; Sebastiao Salgado, whose long-term projects are epic studies in humanity; Joyce Tenneson, whose focus is portrait photography that goes beyond the surface, resulting in ethereal images in an attempt to show the inner person; and John Dugdale, who creates poignant and intimate humanistic imagery using 19th century processes and aesthetics.

The Exhibition runs from March 7th to April 18th.

The Silver Fund is proud to feature a very rare Jean E. Puiforcat French Art Deco Dinner service.TheSilverFund-Very-Rare-Jean-E-Puiforcat-French-Art-Deco-Dinner-Service

“Leave it to the Silver Fund to find this extraordinary collection with this number of Silver and Silver-gilt pieces, circa France 1925-1947”

The Silver Fund is the largest dealer worldwide in estate Georg Jensen silver. In addition to their comprehensive collection of Georg Jensen holloware, their inventory includes exceptional 20th century silver designed by Jean Puiforicat, William Spratling, Antonio Pineda and many other great 20th century designers.

Since 1996, they have sold more than $40 million worth of Georg Jensen silver to private clients around the world. They have helped build multiple large collections including the Rowler collection, the largest single collection ever to be sold at auction where it fetched $9.8 million in one session.

The Silver Fund has helped put together outstanding exhibitions, including “Georg Jensen Jewelry” at the Bard Graduate Center in New York City. The exhibition was the largest Georg Jensen jewelry retrospective ever presented. The Silver Fund collaborated with Susan Weber Soros, the founder and director of the center, at every stage of the exhibition. We also collaborated on the Georg Jensen exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 2007.
The Silver Fund has authored the definitive book on Georg Jensen Holloware—Holloware: The Silver Fund Collection. The book was the culmination of five years of research, writing and collaboration.

A wine and Culinary Experience in the Tradition of Thomas Jefferson’s Love for France hosted by the Florida Friends of Hermione-Lafayette in America, Inc

Guests will be treated to an entertaining evening complete with professional re-enactments of historical moments as well as a four course Culinary Dinner with an outstanding selection of Moët Hennessy wines. This wine and culinary experience is designed in the tradition of Thomas Jefferson’s love for France. Live auction items will include a historical trip to France, a bronze bust of Lafayette by Pierre Jean David d’Angers, and an exclusive painting of the Hermione by Laurent Dareau.

Miles Young, President of Friends of Hermione-Lafayette in America, and Worldwide Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ogilvy & Mather explains: “Hermione Voyage 2015 celebrates the indomitable spirit of the Marquis de Lafayette, teen hero of the American Revolution and French Founding Father of the United States. It also marks the return of this historic tall ship to the iconic ports of the War of Independence, in one of the most remarkable and authentic reconstructions in the world. This ambitious project brings history alive while exemplifying Lafayette’s family motto “Why Not?”

The reconstructed Hermione, will make her grand U.S. return voyage in the summer of 2015. As the Hermione moves up the Eastern seaboard (with stops in Yorktown, Mount Vernon, Alexandria, Annapolis, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Greenport, Newport, Boston, Castine and Lunenburg). It will be accompanied by a range of pier side activities. These include in some ports a Traveling Exhibition and a Heritage Village that will be accessible to the public. The Hermione Voyage 2015 is part of an expansive outreach program with cultural events, exhibitions, and educational programs that celebrate the trip and mark its progress. A robust social media activation for the voyage expands the reach of the project to millions of people.

Though the event was strictly private with the guest list limited to close friends of Marzia’s and her co-hosts Lori Stoll and Lori Bernstein, over 30 parents and their children were in attendance. Rosey Alumni including Bill Mann class of 1940; Maribel Alvarez class of ’76 and her son Robert Riva, class of 2007 were also present to answer questions from inquisitive parents. Result: 6 students were signed up on the spot for the Rosey camp and another 8 pending!

Marzia and her co-hosts Lori Stoll and Lori Bernstein understand the value of the multic-cultural experience Rosey offers. “My husband is American. I am Italian and an attorney. We believe it is crucial for our children to speak several languages and grow up in an environment where they are exposed to multiple cultures. It not only opens their horizons, but will provide them with opportunities they otherwise would not have. By allowing them to experience Le Rosey, we rest assured we are offering them a gift and tools for the future,” says Marzia Precoda, Palm Beach Day Academy 2015 Gala Chair.

“Marzia’s generosity and hospitality was key to the success of this event. As a US rep alumni of Rosey, and parent of two alumni, I can’t thank Marzia enough for her hospitality. Families trust her and feel comfortable sending their children for summer camp knowing that Marzia is minutes away.,” says Maribel Alvarez
