Maribel Alvarez, Founder and President, Altima International, Inc.

Maribel founded Altima in 2000 as a Private Relations© and concierge firm catering to a network of wealthy and powerful individuals across the globe. Maribel forged strong relationships from her work at the United Nations and education at Le Rosey in Switzerland, Duke and Georgetown Universities.
Altima emerged as a marketing services and public relations firm, specializing in luxury brands, real estate and event management. Clients such as the Related Group of Florida, Emilio Pucci, Graff Jewelers, Vilebrequin, Castiglion del Bosco, International Polo Club, Institut Le Rosey, Gstaad Palace, Harry Winston, Royal Bank of Canada and others have utilized Altima’s network and services to build their clientele and sales.

Maribel also founded the highly successful a quarterly luxury magazine, 95 East. As publisher and executive editor, she garnered renown as entrepreneurial and creative. Its success inspired the launch of Altima Elite Club, a subscriber-based social platform offering results-driven Affinity Marketing opportunities brands seeking an international private wealth target audience.

Candace Jorritsma, Real Estate Marketing

Candace has 20 years of expertise in real estate and hospitality. Clients praise her creative vision, because, she has pedigree in developing and managing sophisticated marketing campaigns which translate into sales, not to mention lasting impressions for a project or property.

Candace has been recognized repeatedly, in media and in the national real estate community, for creating the gold standard concept of equity and non-equity private club membership programs, sales management, marketing & development planning, amenities programming and project management.

Her track record speaks for itself, with clientele that includes LXR Luxury Resorts – a division of Blackstone Real Estate Advisors, WCI Communities Inc., and The Trump Group among others. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors Degree of Arts in Communications from the University of Louisville.

Ann Lally, Marketing and Content Strategy

Ann has developed and executed communications programs for Starwood Hotels, Orkin, Randstad Staffing, Simmons Bedding and McCormick Spices. She has also worked with Twinings Teas and global beverage companies, leading projects for web analytics, user experience, CRM, intellectual property initiatives, and SEO. To help reduce cost and increase revenues, she created Altima’s proprietary Digital Discovery Brief©, Customer Journey Map©, and Communications Efficiency Assessment ©.

While a partner and account director at WPP companies JWT and Ogilvy, she developed Strategic Positioning programs for major brands. A graduate of Duke University, she completed the Master’s Degree (MDPE) Program for Executives at Columbia University Graduate School of Business.

She is a Board member of three community foundations. Her White Papers, “How to Assess Your Digital/Search Agency Needs” and “Selecting a CMS,” were published for members of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA). Her articles have appeared in Hotel-Motel Management and The New York Times Sunday Supplement sections.

Brandy Billinghurst

Brandy Billinghurst, PR Director

Never one to settle for average, Brandy graduated magna cum laude from Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Journalism with a focus on Media and Cultural Studies. The South Florida native knows her way away around both sides of the camera, and is a natural when it comes to print media production. She is also fluent in Spanish, making her a pure powerhouse in everything she does.

Brandy’s sense of community awareness formed at a young age, eventually manifesting as a deep philanthropic devotion. Her non-profit experience includes being an agent of change at long running, reputable organizations such as Junior Achievement and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In 2014, Brandy’s efforts raised over $500,000 to battle cancer, earning her a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year in Palm Beach nomination. Years of tireless volunteer work and successful fundraising efforts led her to her latest venture–founding ‘So Booked Up’, an organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting literacy throughout the Palm Beaches. Brandy is currently on the Board of The Young Friends of Palm Beach Symphony.

A proven history of delivering results for individual clients and entire organizations leads most to consider her a prime example of having the best of both worlds. Sonia Velasquez, Video Production

In the Hispanic community, Sonia is known as the ‘philanthropic journalist’ and serves as an Ambassador for brands like Ashoka and Sherwin-Williams. She is a shining example of how using the right tools (both in the literal and figurative sense) along with a sense of humor can change lives. At the age of two, Sonia lost an eye. Rather than let this define her life, Sonia says she turned her weakness into her greatest strength.

Juggling two careers as the hostess for TV show Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and brand Ambassador for Sherwin-Williams in USA, and with a record breaking of 300 million viewers, Sonia continues to inspire millions of women to bring ‘color’ and life to their households.

Sonia still finds time to work with Altima as Digital video-producer. With over 15 years in experience, generating international campaigns for both the ultra-high-end Hispanic market, as well as American and International sophisticated clientele, Sonia understands our subscriber database. “I enjoyed working in Palm Beach for over 4 years, and I built personal relationships, all the while assisting individuals with philanthropic efforts to convey their message. It was a pleasure and now that I’m back I hope to do more of this, as this educated clientele appreciates relevant content, which is what I am proud to deliver.”
