A summer weekend staple for me and my family, is an extended gourmet surfside brunch at Bennys on the Beach. Frankly it’s the only place offering quality dining in a casual environment with a fabulous view, and an actual breeze. Chef Jeremy Hanlon is continuing adding delectable creations to the menu, so going with a big group is key if you want to do a serious tasting! In addition to their Signature Pancakes and famous Beach Bread variations, some of the new breakfast favorites include Lake Worth Crab Cake (featured above); Chorizo Breakfast Tacos and Shrimp & Grits.
The freshness of the food and the exquisite preparation by internationally acclaimed American Celebrity Chef Jeremy Hanlon, formerly of New York’s Restaurant Daniel (as in Boulud) is what makes this charming oceanfront destination a formidable gourmet experience.
Those of us who associate beach and al fresco with libations truly appreciate their extensive and creative cocktail menu. I normally opt for their bottle of Rosé de Provence kept in a chilled bucket within reach, but only after I’ve indulged in one of their formidable Bloody Mary variations– Bloody Maria with tequila was my favorite until I tried the Bakon Vodka Bloody!
