Intoxicatingly beautiful, thanks in part to Maurizio, who welcomes the privileged guests with drinks and nibbles of the Bündnerfleisch– regional dry-cured meat. Next he gets to work at the wood-fired stove, where he stirs up a rich, smooth cheese fondue. A stunningly beautiful day draws to a close with the guests left to savor a serene 200 year old kingdom, audibly guarded by cows.
