I’ve tried sooo many creams and spent sooo much money– Crème de la Mer, La Prairie, Sisley.. I can go on and on.. but then, I was introduced  to Dilo Cream from Wakaya— a private island in Fiji, known for its natural benefits, minerals and electrlytes which made Fiji water famous.

Though I was privliged to have visited Wakaya in the eighties, more recently I met up with David Gilmore, owner of Wakaya and founder of Wakaya Perfection which resulted in my new found love affair with Dilo Cream!  (It didn’t hurt to witness his wife Jill’s skin at multiple events this past season in Palm Beach– ) Jill’s complexion is a testimony to the product!

I’ve been using the SPF 35 for my daily pool workouts to protect my skin from the blazing sun and chlorine, as well as the Dilo cream diligently nightly for three weeks, and have experienced a world of difference!

Wakaya Perfection Dilo products are made with organic virgin dilo oil, harvested from wild mature dilo trees on the island of Wakaya. The Dilo tree has been revered for centuries for its cosmetic and healing properties. Calophyllic Acid, found only in Dilo Oil, has been shown to reduce inflammation, help dry skin, and promote the growth of healthy new skin cells.

I never opted to ‘save money’ on my skin– but now I have the best of products, a touch of the beautiful island of Wakaya every morning and night on my skin– and YES, I get to save money too!

I recently ordered the Ginger and Tumeric products which I understand are equally fabulous if not better!  Will keep you in the loop once I personally test them!!

New Black River Caviar Harvest is in! These Shades of Grey just get better…

Black River Caviar 2015 Harvest is finally here, and Altima subscribers have first pickings! After delays in harvest caused by warmer than normal weather and flight cancellations due to an angry volcano in Chile we have received our first harvest of the 2015 season this week (May 18th)

“I have to say it was worth the wait. I’ve received all four grades of Oscietra and Siberian— and all are spectacular in their own way,” says Graham Gaspard, President of Black River Caviar.

Due to the issues the farm has had getting the harvest under way and the flight delays, supply is tight so anyone wanting a taste  needs to jump while the product is available.

Walig Hutte

The Palace Hotel coined the term ‘glamping with their new old summer mountain hub located 1700 meters above the nearby village of Gsteig. An award winning Alpine pasture from the late 18th century, Walig Hut was named ‘Best Wilderness Hotel’ by Condé Nast Traveller. This former summer home to a local farmer family, and is now offered to a discerning couple seeking a luxurious but truly alpine experience during their stay at the Gstaad Palace.

A one night get-away to this magical Alpine destination is now available for those ready to tear themselves away from the ultimate luxury The Palace Hotel offers and embark on a true Alpine experience–without sacrificing the Palace’s 5 star service.

Intoxicatingly beautiful, thanks in part to Maurizio, who welcomes the privileged guests with drinks and nibbles of the Bündnerfleisch– regional dry-cured meat. Next he gets to work at the wood-fired stove, where he stirs up a rich, smooth cheese fondue. A stunningly beautiful day draws to a close with the guests left to savor a serene 200 year old kingdom, audibly guarded by cows.

Signature Sundays at Meat Market Palm Beach

This copy stems from a Palm Beach Daily News post

At a Palm Beach restaurant known for its Prime-grade cuts of beef and its contemporary spin on the traditional swank steakhouse, how much will an 8-ounce New York strip set you back? You’d be right if you pegged the price at around $30 or so. And also right if you figured around $15. It’s a sign of the times, as in post-high-season restaurant-deal times.

Starting Sunday at Palm Beach’s Meat Market, the restaurant’s Prime “signature” steaks (with the imprimatur of Meat Market’s executive chef Sean Brasel) are half price on Sundays. Normally, a full or half 16-ounce Chicago Prime New York strip is $58 and $29 respectively; a full or half 12-ounce Prime filet mignon is $47 and $26 respectively; and a 16-ounce Prime ribeye is $45.

Now do the 50-percent-off math and those prices start at $14.50

Signature Steak Sunday at Meat Market, 191 Bradley Place, will be offered through the summer to guests in the dining room, as well as those seated at the bar and lounge, where daily happy hour serves up its own perks.
Happy hour in the bar and lounge, 4-7 p.m., features such drink specials as $7 signature cocktails, and a bar-bites menu with items ranging from $2-apiece oysters-on-the-half-shell to a daily ceviche ($9) and a duo of Kobe beef sliders with bacon and Gouda cheese ($14).

For more information, call 354-9800 or visit www.meatmarketpalmbeach.com for full details.

Global and generational representation lives up to the motto “SCHOOL FOR LIFE”

Institut Le Rosey, internationally acclaimed boarding school recently hosted the Third Annual Rosey Alumni reunion at Bice, Palm Beach , Saturday April 25th.  Referred to as the ‘School of Kings and Leaders’ in a recent Town and Country article, the reunion brought together over 3 generations of alumni, living up to its motto ‘A School for Life’.

That is the beauty of our alma mater,” says Hashem Khosrovani
In addition to mother and son Maribel and Robert,  also representing two generations of Rosey alumni were Palm Beach residents Aleco Keusseoglou and daughter Daphne and Bill Mann who attended Rosey in the late 1930’s, left due to the war, but offered his son Paul Mann the opportunity to fulfill the experience.
